An ephemeral game is one which is designed to played once, or to expire in some fashion. Often created as artistic statements, perhaps in line with persuasive games, ephemeral games are more about being talking points that gameplay inventions as such. One example of an ephemeral game was GlitchHiker, a game which would no longer run after its colelctive players had lost 100 lives.
The term 'ephemeral game' was originally coined by Gonzago Frasca.
